Flipped
An important phone call that changed everything. David had said he didn't feel led to be together right now. Li called David to understand why. This led to an honest talk that encouraged us to pursue a relationship.

Hey,
No end
Love lasts forever
What i love about you
"Maybe we should print this and attach to our refrigerator, for our first year after marriage, as preventive care."
I love her, because...
This isn't "why I think I should marry her". That's more about the purpose of marriage and feeling led by God. Below are instead the things I love about Li.
Li loves me for who I am and encourages me to follow my heart. She seeks to understand and apply the wisdom she reads in scripture, and shows grace when I don't live up to her expectations. We never run out of things to talk about. If I had to pick one thing that shows how perfect a match we are, it's when she agreed to talk once a week about what's going well and what we should work on. It's "Kitchen Talk" every Friday--our oldest tradition. Originally called "Kaizen Kitchen" (a name I still prefer) it has been the highlight for 29 straight weeks since we met. I know not everyone would be willing--let alone excited--to have this weekly meeting, but Li was and still is. That's why I love her.
I love him, because
I love David, in short, because he is smart, clean and functional. He has a heart of gold. He is kind and patient, sweet and fun, compassionate and reflective. He wears his heart on his sleeve and always acts with good principle.
A fun presentation made on Aug 8th, 2020
Hello
I am David
I'm 32. Two things I like: playing soccer and writing songs that nobody will ever hear. But now Li hears them all, which is good because they've all been for her lately. I'm curious. Li asked once what I would study if I had time for a PhD. I'd study how it's possible for us to flex muscles just by thinking it. It seems like the only way is basically telekinesis, or that we aren't actually thinking and it's just random chemical reactions set in-motion a long time ago (which I think would mean nothing really matters...). I am also training to compete in Peter Attia's Centenarian Olympics in case it becomes a thing. Let me know if I missed anything!
I am Li
I love homemade tea, fresh-cut flowers and fruit of all kinds. I am good at hanging canvas perfectly horizontal without measuring it, singing along with a song I haven't heard before, and some other things. After I met David, I love taking long walks with him. I love kids. My previous role as a pediatric surgeon is to correct congenital inborn defects of children. For the past five years, I have worked as a research scientist in pediatric liver disease at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
Story behind the name of the website
" Will you curry me? "
David is a big fan of Indian food. One day we were wandering down a New York street holding Indian takeout food. Li found a fancy shop for fashionable clothes. They went in and a few minutes later, the entire store smelled like curry. David looked around and said, "Perhaps I should tighten the bag..." ( it was the cutest look on his face ). Also, the number on the price tag was astonishing. David whispered, "Gees, instead of a ring, I can propose to you with one of these coats!" That made Li laugh so loud. She replied, " Baby, even if you propose with the Indian takeout food, I will still say YES." David was so happy. He turned to Li and asked:
"Will you curry me?"
His eyes were dazzling.
